1. Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Jolie-Lawyer website design services. By engaging us, you agree to them.
1.1 The services
Jolie-Lawyer designs and builds custom single-page websites for US law firms. The flat install fee covers the design and launch of one website. The monthly retainer covers hosting, security, and three small content updates per calendar month.
1.2 Ownership
You own the website, copy, and any commissioned imagery created for your firm. Third-party assets, including but not limited to Google Fonts (open license), licensed Artlist videos, and Stripe processing, carry their original licenses through your build.
1.3 Payment terms
The flat install fee is due before launch. The monthly retainer is billed on the same calendar day each month, starting on the launch date. Both are processed through Stripe. We do not see or store card details.
1.4 Cancellation
The monthly retainer is month-to-month. You can cancel any time with no fee. After cancellation, the retainer covers the remainder of the billing month, then stops. The website itself remains yours.
1.5 Optional add-ons
SEO optimization, Google Ads campaign management, and additional content writing are available as add-ons. Each is scoped and priced before any work begins. None is required.
1.6 Liability
Jolie-Lawyer is a marketing-services vendor, not a law firm and not a compliance auditor. We honor Texas Bar Rule 7 fields in your build, but final compliance review is your responsibility. We are not liable for bar-disciplinary action arising from your firm's content choices.
1.7 Disputes
Any dispute is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and resolved by binding arbitration in Sheridan, Wyoming, before resorting to courts.
2. Privacy policy
2.1 What we collect
From you, the firm operator: name, email, phone, business address, and any content you provide for your build (logos, photos, copy). From your website's visitors: only what you explicitly capture (we do not run third-party analytics on your site by default).
2.2 What we do with it
- Your business information is used to deliver the build, communicate about it, and bill the agreed price.
- Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe. We never see your card number or bank details.
- Email correspondence is stored in our normal business email until you ask us to delete it.
2.3 What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with marketing platforms. We do not run AI training on your firm's content.
2.4 Cookies and analytics
This marketing site (jolie-lawyer.vercel.app) does not set tracking cookies and does not run analytics. The websites we build for you are configured to your preferences. You decide whether to add Google Analytics, GA4, or similar.
2.5 Your rights
You can request a copy of any data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or correct it, by emailing axel@jolie-lawyers.com. We respond within 30 days.
3. Refund policy
3.1 The flat install fee
The $997 flat install fee is refundable if we are unable to deliver a website that meets the brief, and the issue is not the result of unprovided assets or repeated approval delays from your end. Concretely:
- Before kickoff: full refund, no questions.
- During the build (assets provided, design in progress): partial refund based on work completed, typically 50 percent.
- After launch: no refund of the install fee. The website is yours.
3.2 The monthly retainer
The retainer bills on the same calendar day each month. If you cancel mid-month, the current month is not prorated, but no future month is charged. We do not bill again after the cancellation date.
3.3 Add-on services
Refunds on add-on services (SEO, ads, content writing) follow the scope agreement signed for that specific add-on. By default, work-completed-to-date is non-refundable; future scheduled work is refundable.
